The variegated form overlays this with irregular cream, white, or pale green sectors and marbling, giving each leaf a unique pattern against the velvet surface and contrasting veins. A terrestrial rhizome creeper that spreads horizontally rather than climbing; the variegation is unpredictable and slower-growing than the standard form. Wide, shallow containers suit its creeping habit best. Light: Bright indirect light is essential for maintaining the variegation and supporting growth across the lighter sectors; insufficient light causes reversion. Avoid direct sun which scorches the velvet surface and cream sectors. Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir in a wide, shallow container; the rhizome should sit at or just above the soil surface. TemperatureHumidity: Warm temperatures between 65-80°F; humidity of 60-70% supports the best velvet texture and cleanest leaf emergence. Watering: Allow the top 2" of medium to dry between waterings; water thoroughly and drain completely.
