Anthurium Coriaceum aff. Anthurium aff. coriaceum A bird's nest anthurium closely resembling Anthurium coriaceum — the Leatherleaf Anthurium of South America — sold with the "aff." designation to indicate it shares the species' character while differing in some respect that prevents fully confident assignment to the type. Like the species, it produces long, elongated to paddle-shaped, thick and leathery leaves that arch outward from a central rosette in the self-heading bird's nest habit, with a rich deep green, semi-glossy surface. It does not climb and requires no support. Light: Bright to medium indirect light; more adaptable across a light range than velvet anthuriums, though bright indirect light produces the largest leaves. Avoid direct harsh sun. Soil: Rich, well-draining mix of orchid bark, coco coir, and perlite in a wide pot that accommodates the spreading rosette; never waterlogged. TemperatureHumidity: Warm temperatures between 60-80°F; humidity above 60% supports the healthiest leaf development. Watering: Keep the medium consistently but lightly moist; allow the top layer to approach dryness between waterings. Never waterlog.
