Anthurium Queen's KissAnthurium besseae aff. × (Anthurium warocqueanum × Anthurium waterburyanum) A three-lineage hybrid combining A. besseae aff. — the compact Peruvian species celebrated for its bright yellow-green venation, one of the most sought-after venation donors in the genus — with a cross of A. warocqueanum and A. waterburyanum, two closely related pendant velvet species that contribute elongated leaf form, deep velvety surface, and prominent white venation. The cross brings together besseae's vein brilliance with the elongated pendant velvet character of the warocqueanum × waterburyanum parent, producing dark, velvety leaves with high-contrast venation. Individual seedling expression varies. Light: Bright but soft indirect light supports the fullest venation contrast and protects the velvet surface from bleaching. Avoid direct sun. Soil: Very open, chunky epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir with excellent drainage and aeration; never waterlogged. TemperatureHumidity: Cool to warm temperatures between 60-80°F; high humidity of 70-80%+ is essential across all three parent lineages. Watering: Keep consistently but lightly moist — allow only the top inch to approach dryness between waterings. Never waterlog; never allow to dry out fully.
