Monstera Legacy Monstera deliciosa 'Legacy' A variegated selection of Monstera deliciosa grown for its finely mottled, speckled mint-green and cream variegation distributed densely across the leaf, giving a marbled appearance rather than bold sectoral blocks. A vigorous climber that develops the characteristic fenestrations and splits of the species as it matures on a support. Variegation is unpredictable across successive leaves, with each uniquely patterned. Light: Bright indirect light is essential for maintaining the variegation and supporting growth across the reduced-chlorophyll sectors; insufficient light causes reversion, while direct sun scorches the pale tissue. Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir; excellent drainage essential. Never waterlogged. TemperatureHumidity: Warm temperatures between 65-85°F; humidity of 60-70% supports the best growth and cleanest leaf emergence. Avoid cold below 55°F. Watering: Allow the top 1-2" of medium to dry between waterings; water thoroughly and drain completely. Never waterlog — variegated forms are particularly sensitive to root stress. Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly during active growth; train on a moss pole for larger, more fenestrated leaves. Reduce in winter.
