Product description

Anthurium Pallidiflorum A pendant strap-leaf anthurium native to the cloud forests of Ecuador and Colombia, growing as an epiphyte in the perpetually moist montane understory. Grown for its extraordinarily long, narrow, strap-like velvet leaves that hang freely and can reach several feet in length while remaining only a few inches wide. An elevated or hanging position is essential to allow the leaves to hang to their full length without folding or coiling. Light: Bright to moderate indirect light; protect the velvet surface from direct harsh sun which bleaches and damages the texture. Soil: Chunky, open epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir with excellent drainage; never waterlogged. TemperatureHumidity: Warm temperatures between 64-80°F; high humidity of 70-80% is essential for the velvet surface quality and cleanest leaf emergence. Watering: Keep consistently but lightly moist — allow only the top inch to approach dryness between waterings. Never waterlog; never allow to dry out fully. Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during active growth; dilute to half strength. Reduce in winter.
