Naturally wards off plant stress and sad vibes

Disclaimer:

This tea is alive (for real). Use it within one week of delivery for maximum microbe party power. Not for human consumption—no matter how earthy you are. Store in a cool spot, lid off (we don’t want anaerobic funk).

If your plant could high-five you, it would after this.

Worm tea, also known as vermicompost tea or worm castings tea, is a nutrient-rich liquid fertilizer produced by steeping worm castings (the waste produced by earthworms) in water. This organic liquid fertilizer is a valuable and natural source of nutrients for plants.

Ingredients:

Worm tea is primarily made from worm castings, which are rich in beneficial microorganisms, enzymes, and nutrients. Some recipes may also include additional organic materials like compost, molasses, or seaweed.

Worm castings contain a variety of essential nutrients for plant growth, including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and trace elements. Worm tea acts as a liquid form of these nutrients, making it easy for plants to absorb.

One of the key benefits of worm tea is the presence of beneficial microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, and protozoa. These microorganisms contribute to soil health by promoting nutrient cycling, improving soil structure, and suppressing harmful pathogens.

Plant Health:

Worm tea enhances plant growth and health by providing a well-balanced and easily absorbable nutrient source. It also improves soil structure, aeration, and water retention.

Application:

Worm tea can be used as a foliar spray or as a soil drench. Foliar application involves spraying the liquid directly onto the leaves, while soil drenching involves pouring it around the base of the plant.

Organic Gardening:

Worm tea is popular among organic gardeners as it is an environmentally friendly and chemical-free fertilizer. It promotes sustainable gardening practices by recycling organic waste.

Composting:

Worm tea is often a byproduct of vermicomposting, a process where earthworms break down organic matter into nutrient-rich castings. The tea is collected as liquid runoff during the composting process.

Precautions:

When using worm tea, it's important not to apply it in excessive amounts, as over-fertilization can harm plants. Diluting the tea before application is a common practice.

Worm tea is a valuable resource in organic gardening, providing a natural and nutrient-rich solution to support plant growth and soil health. It is particularly beneficial for houseplants, container gardens, and outdoor crops.
