Also known as Philodendron Congo Variegated ‘Nuclear’ or simply Congo Nuclear Philodendron.

Vibrant, bold, and full of personality, Philodendron Congo ‘Nuclear’ is an electrifying mutation of the classic Philodendron Congo Rojo group—famous for its shocking yellow-green variegation that looks almost radioactive. Each leaf bursts with splashes of neon lime, chartreuse, and deep emerald, creating a high-contrast glow that seems to light up even low-light spaces. Compact and self-heading, it’s ideal for tabletops, decorative pots, or statement groupings that need a splash of pure tropical energy.

💡 Care Tips:

☀️ Light – Bright, indirect light maintains the vivid variegation. Too little light causes leaves to turn solid green; too much sun can bleach or burn the yellow tones.

💧 Water – Keep soil evenly moist but never soggy. This plant will be shipped to you in our homemade semi-hydro set up! (Sphagnum Moss, pumice, orchid bark & biochar for anti-compactionaeration, fungal mitigation above a LECA-clay balls- water reservoir). If you’d like to transition to a different medium, a chunky aroid mix is great! Allow the top 1-2 inches to dry between watering.

🌡️ Humidity – Enjoys 50–70 % humidity but does fine in average indoor levels. Regular misting enhances sheen and helps prevent crispy edges.

🌱 Growth – A self-heading, upright Philodendron reaching about 2–3 feet (60–90 cm) tall. Mature leaves average 8–10 inches (20–25 cm) long with a broad, paddle shape and glossy finish.

📊 Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate (low maintenance with color reward)
