Also known as Philodendron ‘Snow Drift’ or occasionally Philodendron x ‘Snowdrift’ in trade.

A mesmerizing hybrid believed to descend from Philodendron pinnatifidum and Philodendron giganteum, the “Snowdrift” earns its name from its frosty variegation. New leaves emerge creamy white with soft mint speckles before maturing to lush green with subtle marbling. Each leaf looks as if a dusting of snow melted into its surface, making it one of the most ethereal Philodendrons in cultivation.

💡 Care Tips:

☀️ Light – Bright, indirect light keeps variegation crisp; too little light can cause leaves to darken fully green.

💧 Water – Keep soil evenly moist but never soggy. This plant will be shipped to you in our homemade semi-hydro set up! (Sphagnum Moss, pumice, orchid bark & biochar for anti-compactionaeration, fungal mitigation above a LECA-clay balls- water reservoir). You can transition to whatever medium you like best, Chunky Aroid mix is a great option! Once transitioned- less is more! Allow the top 2-3 inches to dry between waterings.

🌡️ Humidity – Enjoys 60 %+ humidity but adapts to moderate household levels. Use a humidifier for lush, broad foliage.

🌱 Growth – Upright climbing habit with elongated heart-shaped leaves that can reach 10–16 inches long at maturity. Moderate to fast growth with good light and warmth.

🌟 Collector’s Tip

This cultivar is a modern hybrid, developed by tropical plant breeders rather than found in the wild. Its parents are believed to include Philodendron pinnatifidum and possibly Philodendron giganteum, both native to South America (mainly Brazil). Its color shifts are due to chlorophyll development as each new leaf matures. Under strong light, leaves may stay pale longer—some growers even experiment with slightly higher light to maintain that spectral hue.
