Anthurium Wild Queen Anthurium 'Wild Arrow' (Anthurium papillilaminum × Anthurium crystallinum) × Anthurium warocqueanum A three-lineage hybrid combining 'Wild Arrow' — itself a cross of A. papillilaminum and A. crystallinum that pairs papillilaminum's thick velvet leaf substance and dark pigmentation with crystallinum's silver-white crystalline venation — with A. warocqueanum, the Queen Anthurium known for its long, pendant velvet leaves and prominent venation. The cross brings together the velvet substance and dark coloration of the papillilaminum lineage, the crystalline venation of crystallinum, and the elongated pendant form and vein contrast of warocqueanum, producing long, dramatic velvet leaves with high-contrast venation that develop their full character with maturity. Individual seedling expression varies. Light: Bright but soft indirect light supports the best leaf development and protects the velvet surface from bleaching. Avoid direct sun. Soil: Very open, chunky epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir with excellent drainage and aeration; waterlogging is the primary cultivation failure. TemperatureHumidity: Cool to warm temperatures between 60-80°F; high humidity of 70-80%+ is essential across all three parent lineages. Watering: Keep consistently but lightly moist — allow only the top inch to approach dryness between waterings. Consistency matters more than any specific schedule.
