The Curly Hair T get their fuzzy curly hairs, that they are known and named for, as they grow. They can get up to 5-6” dls. This is a terrestrial species, but do burrow as well, with males living 4-7 years and females living for over 20 years.
The Curly Hair tarantula is a great beginner species and very popular in the hobby due to their easy care. They are docile, move slow, and not defensive. They can kick hairs if stressed but they are less likely to do this than other species. They like to burrow and create intricate webbing around their burrows.
They are currently 12”-34” dls and eating Hydei fruit flys and pin head crickets.
