Hoya 'Viola'
This stunning hybrid is a cross between Hoya deykeae and Hoya vitellina. Named
for its large viola-shaped leaves. As a hybrid of Southeast Asian rainforest
species, it inherits the tropical adaptations and epiphytic growing habits
typical of the region.
Features large, flashy patterned, dark, green leaves and bright yellow flowers
trimmed with brown edges. The flowers have a heady ginger fragrance. Sometimes
the flower color varies, probably due to the amount of light the buds develop
in. Grows as a vine and is suitable for training to climb or trailing from
hanging baskets.
Care Requirements:
Grow in bright indirect light.
Our Classic or Shaggy Aroid & Hoya Mix provides the ideal well-draining
substrate.
Keep evenly moist but it’s okay to let them dry out slightly between waterings.
Does not tolerate temperatures below 50°F.
Perfect for beginners seeking an easy-care, fragrant Hoya with unique foliage
and striking flowers.
