Product description

Rhipsalis micrantha f. kirbergii

This delicate epiphytic jungle cactus is native to the tropical forests of Costa

Rica, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela . It grows primarily in the wet tropical

biome as an epiphyte on trees. Unlike desert cacti, it thrives in humid, shaded

environments .

Features slender, three-angled stems that mature into four- to six-angled forms,

giving it a distinctive architectural appeal . The stems are olive green,

sometimes with pinkish margins. Over time, the stems become long and trailing,

making it a stunning addition to hanging planters . In optimal conditions, it

produces small, white flowers followed by round, white to reddish-tinged fruits

.

Easy to care for and low-maintenance, making it perfect for hanging basket

displays.

Care Requirements:

Bright, indirect light but can adapt to lower light conditions.

Our Classic or Shaggy Aroid & Hoya Mix provides the ideal well-draining

substrate. Water when top layer of soil has dried out—avoid overwatering.

Prefers part shade with temperatures suitable for zones 9b and higher.

Perfect for beginners seeking an easy-care trailing jungle cactus with unique

angular stems.
