An exceptional, high-contrast color mutation of the iconic, robust hybrid between Alocasia odora and Alocasia reginula ('Black Velvet'). While a standard 'Regal Shields' is loved for its massive, thick, rubbery leaves that feature a deep charcoal-green surface and a rich plum-purple underside, the ultra-rare 'Albo' form elevates this dramatic silhouette into a showstopper. The dark, velvety blades are shattered by erratic, high-contrast sectors, chunky blocks, and fine marbled splashes of crisp snow-white and pale ivory. Because it is a chimeric mutation, each giant leaf emerges as a completely unique, unpredictable masterpiece.
☀️ Light: Bright, Indirect. Requires exceptionally strong, filtered ambient light to sustain its heavy white sectors and keep the plant from reverting. Protect strictly from direct afternoon sun to avoid scorching or melting the delicate, chlorophyll-deficient white tissue.
