Our plants are grown on to a bigger size, many times even to a mature plant! Humble Hen Farm & Nursery Size: 18" H x 24" W Common Name: Hosta Hosta 'Holar Early Days' If you love hostas that put on a show right from the moment they emerge, ‘Holar Early Days’ is one to watch. This distinctive Belgian introduction from hybridizer Ronny Van Keer was one of his earliest named seedlings and was introduced in 2014. The spring foliage is where this hosta really earns its place. Leaves emerge in shades of bright yellow to golden chartreuse, accented by red veins and a red margin. As the leaves mature, the dramatic red coloration gradually recedes, leaving you with rich golden-yellow foliage for the remainder of the season. The leaves are carried on eye-catching red petioles, adding another layer of color and making the plant especially attractive even when viewed from a distance. Soft lavender flowers appear later in the season. ‘Holar Early Days’ reaches roughly 16–18 inches tall and 20–24 inches wide, making it an excellent medium-sized hosta for the front or middle of a shade garden. A few hours of gentle sun can help intensify its golden coloration. Rare, colorful, and constantly changing—‘Holar Early Days’ is exactly the kind of hosta that collectors love. Info: Our plants are grown in 5.25 x 5.25 x 5.25 inch pots and develop large root systems. These are not a small liner but a plant you can put right into your garden. That means you will get a bigger plant right away compared to a starter plant. We guarantee you will get a true to type healthy plant that you will love for years. If you have any problems or questions we are happy to help. During early spring plants may still be breaking dormancy so they may appear smaller than they will be when they fully leaf out. In Fall or Winter the plants may be dormant which means the may be losing or have completely lost their leaves. Shipping: We do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska due to cost and import restrictions. Plants will be removed from their pots and loose soil removed and the rootball placed in a bag. We are an inspected nursery from the VA Dept of AG.
