Our plants are grown on to a bigger size, many times even to a mature plant! Humble Hen Farm & Nursery Size: 24" H x 37" W Common Name: Hosta Hosta 'Cloud Illusions' If red petioles are your weakness, ‘Cloud Illusions’ is going to get your attention. This Don Dean hybrid takes an attractive green hosta and adds an unexpected dose of color where you least expect it. The plant forms an impressive, upright, vase-shaped clump of pointed, medium-green leaves. The foliage has gently rippled edges that give the plant plenty of movement and texture, but the real surprise is underneath—the petioles are saturated red, creating a striking contrast with the green foliage. And the color show doesn't stop with the foliage. The flower scapes carry that same rich red coloration, topped in late summer with purple blooms surrounded by vivid fuchsia bracts. It's an unusual combination that really comes alive when the plant is in flower. At maturity, ‘Cloud Illusions’ reaches approximately 24 inches tall by 37 inches wide, giving it enough presence to serve as a focal point while still fitting beautifully into a mixed shade planting. This is one for the hosta collector who appreciates the details. The graceful form is just the beginning—the red stems and colorful flower display are what make ‘Cloud Illusions’ truly special. Info: Our plants are grown in 5.25 x 5.25 x 5.25 inch pots and develop large root systems. These are not a small liner but a plant you can put right into your garden. That means you will get a bigger plant right away compared to a starter plant. We guarantee you will get a true to type healthy plant that you will love for years. If you have any problems or questions we are happy to help. During early spring plants may still be breaking dormancy so they may appear smaller than they will be when they fully leaf out. In Fall or Winter the plants may be dormant which means the may be losing or have completely lost their leaves. Shipping: We do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska due to cost and import restrictions. Plants will be removed from their pots and loose soil removed and the rootball placed in a bag. We are an inspected nursery from the VA Dept of AG.
