Unlike traditional moss poles, this pole is fully fillable, letting you choose the substrate that best suits your plant’s needs. While sphagnum moss is a popular option, you can also fill it with alternatives like LECA, coco coir, or chunky aroid mix. Your plant’s roots will naturally grow into the pole, anchoring as they climb and accessing moisture from within. Not all plants need a pole but many varieties will thrive if given a pole to climb. Some of our favorite plants to pair with a coco pole are hoya, philodendron, monstera, rhaphidaphora, pothos, scindapsus, and syngonium. We carry many varieties of each!
