Product description

Chilobrachys natanicharum (Electric Blue Tarantula) This very large terrestrial heavy webber from Thailand has become legendary due to its larger size and stunning electric blue coloration. Grab this old world tarantula for sale if you want a metallic blue body that genuinely glows under proper lighting, paired with serious burrowing and webbing behavior. Why do hobbyists keep Chilobrachys natanicharum? Stunning Coloration: A brilliant metallic electric blue body that's one of the bluest tarantulas available in the hobby. Large Size: A genuinely large fossorial species with real presence once it reaches full size. Heavy Webber: Creates extensive burrow systems reinforced with impressive webbing. How should Chilobrachys natanicharum be kept? Adult Size: Reaches about 6.5 inches or more at full leg span. Enclosure: This is a fossorial species, so provide an enclosure roughly 2 times the leg span in footprint, 3 times the leg span in height, and substrate deep enough for stable burrows. Temperature: Keep between 65 to 75 degrees F. Humidity: Moderate to high. Keep the lower substrate layers slightly damp with the top allowed to dry a bit, never swampy. Water: Provide a water dish near the burrow entrance. Fossorial species benefit from ambient moisture and will use a dish placed at substrate level. Diet: Crickets, roaches, or mealworms sized to about a quarter of the leg span, matching the width of the carapace (head). Feed at least once a week. Temperament: Fast and defensive, it carries a medically significant bite typical of old world species, so this is a display only animal. We do not encourage or recommend handling with any of our tarantulas, old world species especially. Are there any additional notes or considerations? Mostly Hidden: This species spends a good deal of time in its burrow, only occasionally appearing at the entrance. Captive Bred: All Tarantulas are 100% captive bred.
