Begonia serratipetala is a striking shrub-like species from New Guinea. The leaves are a dark bronze with pink spots on them. The pink spots are more pronounced in very strong light. It has a bushy growth habit and can make a nice hanging basket. It has small clusters of bright pink flowers. The margins of the leaves and flower petals are serrated.

Shade to partial sun, temp. 60 to 90 degrees, 15 to 24 in. tall, allow getting slightly dry between waterings. This acclimates well to ambient conditions.
