Hoya pulleana (IM-02) Care & Details Origin: Hoya pulleana is a naturally occurring Hoya species from western New Guinea, where it grows in the wet tropical biome. The species was formally described by botanists Michele Rodda and Nadhanielle Simonsson in 2022 as part of their taxonomic revision of Hoyas from Papuasia. The type specimen was collected much earlier, in 1913, by Dutch botanist August Adriaan Pulle near the Lorentz River in what is now Papua Province, Indonesia; the species was later named in his honor. Leaves: Hoya pulleana has unusually tiny, thick leaves that give it an adorable miniature look. The leaves are ovate to nearly round and measure only about 8–16 mm long by 5–12 mm wide.
