These USCBB Xenesthis immanis slings are currently in their second or third instar as of 10242025, measuring about 1.5-2" in diagonal legspan. They will eventually grow into massive and stunning tarantulas. The photos show the mature male and female that produced this sack, as well as a picture of the male as a sub-adult. Commonly known as the Colombian Lesserblack, this species develops a striking pink starburst on the carapace as it matures, while adult males also take on pink coloration along their legs and pedipalps. The male from this pairing was literally, the most beautiful tarantula I’ve ever seen.
This is a tropical New World terrestrial species that can reach a diagonal legspan of up to 8.5". They may burrow if given the chance and require consistently high humidity and good hydration. They are known for their reliable and enthusiastic feeding response, making them an absolute joy to care for!
