Product description

You will receive one plant similar to the younger one in the last three photos…rooted and growing in 4” pots, several available. Shipped dry without pot or soil.

This is the real vera! Formerly Aloe barbadensis. Blooms will be yellow when it matures. Older plants and flowers shown in last photo as example. Will be shipped dry without pot! Nice sized young plants.

Ignore any care article that says “indirect light only”, that isn’t enough sun for any Aloe. These guys are more resilient when grown a little rougher…poor light and poor draining soil makes them weak, and that’s what makes people struggle with them.

Shipped with Ground Advantage.

A good article on Aloe vera care - https:davesgarden.comguidesarticlesview3874

I also have a lot of photos and care information on both my Facebook page and Instagram account.

Aloe vera needs at least some direct sun to grow strong enough to hold itself and its leaves upright, but they need to be slowly acclimated to it. They also need a very well draining soil, they like water they just don’t want to sit in it! These are the two biggest things people get wrong when it comes to Aloe care...poor drainage and not enough sun. Droopy, pale green plants are not thriving!

US shipping or local pickup only.

I do not wrap succulents (or cacti) in wet paper towels or Saran Wrap, it is much better for these guys to dry out a little than be too wet.

Aloes require very well draining soil, research gritty mixes and prepare one that works for you. Bagged cactus soil is still too heavy. Aloes also need a lot of light and most do best outside in as much sun as you can give them (for most, full sun is great if properly acclimated!)

**Do not use any plant sap on your skin unless you are absolutely sure it is from the true Aloe vera, not all aloes can be used medicinally! Too many people mistake other plants for Aloe vera. The plants I sell are not intended for medicinal use.
