A highly dimensional Soulspire Apophyllite and Stilbite Stalactite Formation from Nashik, Maharashtra, India, featuring pale-green and colorless apophyllite crystals emerging through abundant pearl-white and blush-pink stilbite. Mounted vertically on a custom sculptural base, this elegant formation rises approximately 5 inches tall. The specimen is built around a slender stalactitic core that is almost completely concealed beneath successive generations of crystal growth. Stilbite blades radiate outward across the formation, while larger apophyllites project from selected areas to create strong focal points and sharp geometric contrast. At the crown is a beautifully transparent apophyllite crystal with a sharply defined pyramidal termination. Its water-clear upper section contains mirrored internal reflections that shift from silver to dark gray as the viewing angle changes. Surrounding white stilbite blades frame the apophyllite like a crystalline crest. A second prominent apophyllite projects horizontally from the upper-middle section. This nearly colorless crystal displays broad reflective faces, visible internal zoning, and a strong geometric termination. Its placement emphasizes the specimen’s open architecture and creates a dramatic side profile. The lower formation contains another group of pale mint-green apophyllites. These crystals range from transparent to softly translucent and are surrounded by cream, blush-pink, and pearly white stilbite. One downward-facing apophyllite reveals a sharply defined termination suspended above the lower crystal growth. Stilbite dominates much of the central structure. Individual blades, fans, rounded aggregates, and partially developed bow-tie formations extend in numerous directions. Fine longitudinal growth lines and pearly surfaces give the specimen a softer texture that contrasts with the smooth, glassy faces of the apophyllite. The color palette is unusually cohesive. Pale pink and peach mineralization forms the central foundation, while ivory stilbite and faintly green apophyllite create cool highlights. Scattered darker inclusions and recessed openings provide additional depth without distracting from the pastel appearance. From the reverse, the specimen reveals even greater stilbite coverage. Numerous elongated blades radiate outward from the central spire, producing a dense but highly dimensional arrangement. Natural openings between the crystals allow light to pass through portions of the formation and reveal crystals positioned deeper inside. Measuring approximately 2.5 × 2.5 × 5 inches and weighing 0.30 pounds, this mounted specimen combines a tall stalactitic profile, abundant stilbite, several substantial apophyllites, pastel coloration, and exceptional visual interest from every side. The name refers to the formation’s dramatic spire-like architecture and is not a separate mineral species or officially recognized mineral variety. Each Soulspire specimen differs in crystal density, associated minerals, color, and the amount of its underlying stalactitic structure that remains visible. This specimen is especially notable for the abundance of stilbite surrounding the central spire. The bladed crystals create most of its soft, layered volume, while the larger apophyllites supply sharply geometric focal points. Apophyllite and stilbite commonly crystallize together inside cavities within the ancient basalt flows of Maharashtra. Mineral-rich fluids entered these openings and deposited successive generations of minerals. Earlier stalactitic structures could later become covered with fine crystals, stilbite blades, and larger apophyllite. Apophyllite is known for its exceptionally reflective faces and perfect cleavage. Stilbite is recognized by its flattened bladed crystals, radiating fan formations, and characteristic pearly luster.
