Historically, many plants sold as variegated A. wentii are actually a hybrid known as Alocasia 'Uhinkii' (a cross between A. cuprea and A. odora). These specimens often feature a dramatic contrast between their variegated upper surface and a rich violet-brown to purple underside. Because each leaf develops unique splashes or sectors of color, no two plants are exactly alike. Care Requirements
