Our cold weather protection plan allows you to rest assured that your plants will arrive safely in cold winter weather. This includes a personal weather check at your location and any necessary packing materials including heat packs and insulation as well as the extra time and labor that it takes to prepare your package. If any plants covered by CWP receive any cold-related damage we will replace or refund the plant depending on availability.
If you purchased CWP and plants arrive with cold damage, reach out to us at service@carnivero.com as soon as possible with pictures of the damaged plants.
If you did not purchase CWP and plants receive cold damage during shipment they will not be replaced or refunded. Non-cold related damage and lost packages will still be covered by our regular Live Arrival Guarantee.
We have many years of experience shipping plants safely in cold weather and know which materials are required. CWP does not guarantee a heat pack or insulation if the weather in your area does not require it. Heat packs can sometimes damage sensitive plants if they are included when not needed. CWP allows us to make that assessment and ensure you receive your plants in great condition. If it is determined that your weather is forecasted to be extreme by our standards (depending on what is ordered but typically 20 degrees or below) expedited shipping may be required and our team will contact you.
If we notice your shipment requires CWP and it was not purchased we will reach out to you as a courtesy to allow you to purchase CWP before the package is shipped. If you decline CWP your package will not be held and any cold damage to your plants will not be covered by our standard live arrival guarantee.
