Product description

Plant DescriptionThe Alocasia baginda 'Dragon Scale Mint' takes the Dragon Scale's extraordinary embossed texture and renders the whole thing in soft mint, pale sage, and silvery celadon—as if the original spent a season in an enchanted forest and came back fundamentally, beautifully changed. The pale mint coloration means reduced chlorophyll, which means she's working harder than her darker-leafed sibling and has less margin for the care mistakes a deep green plant might shrug off. She is, in a word, precious—in multiple senses, and she knows it.Care Card🌿 Light — Bright indirect, non-negotiable. Mint coloration needs more light than the standard Dragon Scale to sustain; low light fades it toward yellow-green and the magic evaporates.💧 Water — Top inch dry between waterings, then water thoroughly and drain. Pale tissue is more sensitive to overwatering than the standard form—chunky well-draining mix, no exceptions.💨 Humidity — 65–80% required. Humidifier is the correct tool; never mist directly onto the scaled leaf surface—water pools in the embossed texture and invites fungal issues immediately.🌡️ Temperature — 65–85°F. Never below 62°F. Cold air damages pale tissue faster and more visibly than a standard Dragon Scale—no drafts, no cold windows.🪴 Soil — Chunky well-draining aroid mix. The scaled surface is extraordinary; the roots beneath it are not interested in sitting in moisture.🌱 Fertilizer — Half-strength balanced liquid every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer. Monthly in early fall. Nothing in winter—pale cultivars burn more easily than green ones.⚠️ Toxicity — Toxic to pets and humans. Calcium oxalate crystals cause serious oral irritation if ingested.🐣 Beginner Friendly? — No. Rare, delicate, high-value—this is a cultivar for experienced collectors who understand what they're committing to and are thrilled about it.HOW OUR SHIPPING WORKSFor more details, please see our Shipping Policy to support your plants for a healthy journey in all seasons.PLEASE NOTE: What you see is the vibe — not the exact plant. 🌿 Each plant has its own personality (some a little more dramatic than others). Leaf shape, size, and variegation will vary, but pot size is consistent.
