Aerides oodoorata is a majestic, highly prized species native to the Philippines, widely considered the undisputed queen of the genus Aerides. When in bloom, the plant produces long, arching to pendulous inflorescences densely packed with waxy, long-lasting flowers. The thick, crystalline blooms open in a brilliant ivory-white to pale cream, dramatically tipped with rich amethyst-purple accents on the sepals and petals. Framing the bloom is an expansive, funnel-shaped lip adorned with a vivid magenta-violet spur.
