This is an incredible species with a wide and wonderful array of phenotypes. Some specimens exhibit a strong subvelvet texture, some have light veins, wide lobes, big lobes, you name it! This species is unique in that it grows more akin to a potato. The rhizome grows under the surface (decomposing granite) and parallel to the ground. It is likely highly dry tolerant as well. Also grows well in moss.
