This 6.9 gram aquamarine hails from Fazenda Concórdia in Mimoso do Sul, Espírito Santo, manifesting as a slender pencil-like prism of cool seafoam green and etched terminations. Subtle internal veils deepen its minty vanadium hue, while lustrous surfaces highlight unique growth hillocks. As I learned from the former mine owner: only two spots worldwide produced this pencil shape, Fazenda Concórdia and 1960s Myanmar sites, but Brazilians boast intense blue; he kept most pieces, rarely sells now, yet opens his safe for me to cherry-pick the finest preserved specimens from 1979-2002 mining.
