This frog is styled upon "William" the hippo statue found in the Middle Kingdom tomb of Senbi II dating to around 1900 BCE. The original statue had deliberately broken legs, possibly to contain the danger presented by the hippopotamus in the afterlife. This frog is free to roam as he pleases through the Nile or your home, though!
