Alocasia maharani (also known as 'Grey Dragon') is a compact jewel Alocasia hybrid, a cross of Alocasia reginula and Alocasia melo. It's known for thick, leathery, silvery-grey leaves with a quilted, dragon-scale-like texture, staying small and dwarf compared to most other Alocasia types. 🍃✨
This highly variegated offshoot comes from my own highly variegated Maharani Albo mother plant — same exact genetics, since it's a direct offshoot rather than a corm-grown division. Not corming yet, but should be soon. 🌱

As with any Alocasia, coloring can shift slightly as new leaves grow in — variegation may increase or decrease somewhat over time. That said, my mother plant genetics are strong, and this coloring has held true across nearly every plant grown from this line.
