Common Name: Brazilian Pennywort
Brazilian pennywort can be found growing in the wetlands and marshes of South America. It is characterized by its half-dollar like leaves which can grow into compact bushes of green. This plant is versatile and can be used in the foreground, midground or background. It is undemanding and grows fast, often out-competing and overgrowing the tank if left untrimmed. By frequently trimming new growth and using high light with CO2, the plant can stay low growing and create a carpeting effect over the foreground.
Propagate by trimming stems and replanting on pulling apart dense clumps and splitting the roots. New shoots can be trimmed anywhere along the stem which allows the plant to grow thicker and more compact.

This plant was grown emersed (roots in the water and leaves and stems out of the water). Most aquatic plants can be either submerged (fully aquatic) or continue to grow emersed with high humidity. When you order this plant, it will arrive as emersed growth and will need to be transitioned to a fully aquatic life (if desired). It is very normal for any aquatic plant to melt its stems and leaves. As long as the roots are not slimy or severely falling apart, the plant will grow back!
DOA Policy:
Everything comes with a DOA (Dead on Arrival) policy. I can only offer this policy for live animals when shipped to a FedEx HUB. This policy is only active on the day your package arrives. If there is a dead plant or animal, please take pictures of it INSIDE the bag within 2 hours of the package being delivered.
