A newly described species from Andean cloud forests, Ceratostema ivanportillae stands out for its pendant clusters of vivid red-orange tubular flowers adorned with dramatically elongated dark stamens — one of the most visually striking members of the genus. Light: Bright indirect light; replicates the dappled canopy conditions of its cloud forest habitat. Avoid direct sun exposure. Temperature: Cool- to intermediate-growing. Ideal range: 50–68°F (10–20°C). Cool nights are beneficial and help stimulate flowering. Humidity: 75–90%.
