Some TC batches overseas have been producing aureas with much brighter, more buttery cream color and sellers started calling these select plants Pom Pom to differentiate them from the typical, more deep yellow aurea. An ideal Pom Pom specimen will have a very pale color with easily discernible blue midtones and older leaves that eventually age to an off-white, near-albo shade.
