Hi there and welcome to my online plant store, R U Planty! I’m Rudy, a houseplant collector growing a whole lot of plants indoors just outside Philly. My private plant collection includes anthuriums, philodendrons, pothos, monsteras, succulents, and more! These are plants I’ve acquired locally or online and learned to care for over the years through hands-on experience, research, and more than a few late-night plant YouTube video binges. (Not shipping to CA, HI, AZ, AK, WA sorry!) I grow in a mix of environments at my home, from ambient room humidity to a modified IKEA greenhouse cabinet, clear shoe storage containers, and converted reptile enclosures. Most of my plants are rooted in custom blends made with premium ingredients like soil, LECA, perlite, pumice, Orchiata bark, zeolite, lava rock, charcoal, and expensive tree fern fiber. Many are inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi, fertilized with premium nutrients that include beneficial bacteria and fungi, and have been exposed to expensive beneficial predatory mites from Nature’s Good Guys as part of a proactive preventative plant care routine. I’ve recently started hybridizing my most mature anthuriums and now offer seeds and seedlings from those crosses, all grown with care and curiosity.. Orders from my shop are packed with the same care that I’d want to receive; securely, thoughtfully, and using a mix of new and recycled materials whenever possible. I ship on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to help ensure your plants arrive safely. I strive to keep prices affordable and share the plant love whenever possible. Happy planting, and thank you for being here, and thank you for being Planty! <3 R U dy Fun Plant Facts about R U dy: ♥︎ A friendly panda plant succulent (Kalanchoe tomentosa) on a Miami balcony during a vacation sparked my succulent collecting madness, which eventually evolved into a diverse plant collection that includes hundreds of plants today! ♥︎ My mom Patty and my grandmother Mary also love plants! My grandmother has beautiful red and yellow tulips that explode with vibrant color during springtime in her front yard. They have been there since I was a child. My mom lets me keep her indoor house plants alive for her, she’s better with outdoor gardening. ♥︎ My first aroid was/is part of a 10+ year old golden pothos (Epipremnum aureum) plant who was left in the office building of my first corporate job by. I still have it today! The original plant had vines that wrapped around the walls of the room and were 20ft long. I wonder where it is today… ♥︎ I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies.
