It is a common practice with fossils for parts to be repaired or stabilized using PaleoBond or Paraloid. Cracking is an expectation, and a sign of authentic pieces. Restoration work is also common practice with some pieces, especially trilobites. We attempt to limit our acceptable restoration margin to 10% on trilobites, however up to 20% may be present in our inventory. The crack present in Moroccan trilobites is expected due to the way they are prepared, and a sign of authenticity. We do our best to disclose every aspect of each piece. If you have any questions or would like us to explain something in more detail PLEASE ASK US. All of our fossils are hand selected for quality. It is standard practice for us to UV all pieces and inspect under a gem loupe or microscope. In some cases we are unable to do this beforehand, but will be happy to do so on request We do not offer Certificates of Authenticity primarily because anyone with a printer can make one up. We do offer live walk through and explanation of the pros and cons of any particular piece you may be interested in.
