Palmstreet is committed to providing a fair and enjoyable auction experience for all. The new Custom Bidding Price feature gives buyers more opportunities to win their desired items.
How to Bid a Custom Amount
- Once the auction begins, tap the “Custom” button to set a custom price.
- The price starts at the current highest bid. Adjust the amount using the (–) and (+) buttons, or enter a specific value, ensuring it meets the minimum/maximum bid increment (refer to the increment guide below).
- Confirm and submit the custom bid.
Custom bids may fail if:
- Another buyer placed a higher bid before submission, or internet connection issues caused the bid to fail.
- The bid amount is lower than the minimum increment.
- The bid amount exceeds the maximum increment.
The credit balance or a coupon can be selected in the "Bid Setting" by tapping the "Wallet" menu before the auction, just as usual.
All bids placed during an auction adhere to a Minimum Bid Increment guide as follows:
- If the highest price is less than $10, the bidding increment is $1.
- If the highest price is between $10 and $30, the bidding increment is $2.
- If the highest price is between $30 and $50, the bidding increment is $3.
- If the highest price is between $50 and $100, the bidding increment is $5.
- If the highest price is between $100 and $300, the bidding increment is $10.
- If the highest price is between $300 and $1000, the bidding increment is $20.
- If the highest price is over $2000, the bidding increment is $50.
To prevent accidental irrational bids, all bids must follow the Maximum Bid Increment guide:
- If the current highest bid is between $1-$50, bids over $100 are warned and disallowed.
- If the current highest bid is between $50-$100, bids over $500 are warned and disallowed.
- If the current highest bid is over $100, bids over $1000 are warned and disallowed.
