Palmstreet Official

As Palmstreet continues to grow, we are seeing more sellers list high-value items, including Coins & Money that may be worth $2,000 to $30,000+.

To support these sellers and protect the marketplace, we are introducing clear shipping best practices and seller protection policies for high-value shipments.

These guidelines help protect both sellers and buyers in situations such as:

  • Lost packages
  • Content dispute claims
  • Incorrect items being shipped

Our approach follows industry standards used by major marketplaces, which rely on a combination of tracking, signature confirmation, insurance, and shipping documentation.

Policy at a Glance

Applies to: Coins and Bullion shipments over $2,000

Required for Coins and Bullion shipments over $2,000

To be eligible for consideration under Palmstreet’s seller protection policy, sellers must:

  • Provide a valid tracking number
  • Require signature confirmation on delivery
  • Add insurance covering the full item value
  • Record a photo of the sealed package before handing it to the carrier
  • Send the photo of the sealed package to the buyer via DM

Requirements for Seller Protection Coverage for Bullion Shipments

  • Use USPS Registered Mail
  • Add separate insurance if shipping through FedEx or UPS

Shipments Over $2,000

For Coins & Money items valued over $2,000, sellers must follow the steps below to qualify for seller protection.

1. Provide a Valid Tracking Number

All shipments must include trackable delivery through a recognized carrier.

2. Require Signature Confirmation

A signature upon delivery confirms that the package was received by a person at the destination.

3. Add Insurance Covering the Full Item Value

Insurance protects against carrier-related issues, such as lost or damaged packages.

Sellers needs to ensure the insurance value matches the full value of the item being shipped.

4. Record a Photo of Sealing the Package

Before handing the package to the carrier, sellers need to take a photo showing the sealed package.

This photo helps verify that the package was properly sealed and untampered with before shipment.

5. Send the Packaging Photo to the Buyer

Send the packaging photo to the buyer via DM before handing the package to the shipping carrier. This helps:

  • Increase buyer confidence
  • Provide documentation in case of disputes

Recommended Shipping Method for Bullion

For bullion shipments, we recommend using USPS Registered Mail.

Registered Mail offers additional protection for high-value shipments, including:

  • Insurance coverage up to $50,000
  • Chain-of-custody handling, where each postal employee signs when the package changes hands
  • Secure storage throughout the shipping process

If sellers choose to ship via FedEx or UPS, they need to ensure that separate insurance coverage is added and covers the full item value, as standard carrier coverage may not protect high-value bullion shipments.

Shipments Under $2,000

For Coins and Bullion items valued under $2,000, the steps outlined above are recommended but not required.

Following these best practices can still help sellers:

  • Avoid disputes
  • Protect themselves in the event of a claim
  • Build trust with buyers purchasing higher-value items

Failure to Follow These Requirements

If a seller does not follow the required steps for shipments over $2,000, Palmstreet may be unable to extend seller protection for claims related to:

  • Lost packages
  • Delivery disputes
  • Content disputes

In these situations, the seller may be responsible for the outcome of the claim.

Following the required shipping steps helps ensure sellers qualify for protection under Palmstreet’s seller protection policies.

Claim Review and Fraud Prevention

Palmstreet may review any claim for signs of fraud, abuse, or policy violations.

This review may include evaluating:

  • Tracking history
  • Signature confirmation records
  • Packaging photo
  • Carrier documentation
  • Account history
  • Communication between buyer and seller

Palmstreet reserves the right to deny seller protection, delay payouts, or take enforcement action if there is evidence of fraud, collusion, or misuse of the platform.

Meeting these requirements does not guarantee a particular claim outcome; all claims remain subject to Palmstreet’s review of the facts, available documentation, and any signs of fraud, abuse, or policy violations.

These safeguards help ensure that the marketplace remains safe and trustworthy for both buyers and sellers.

Why These Guidelines Matter

High-value shipments carry greater risk for both buyers and sellers. By following these guidelines, sellers and buyers can:

  • Reduce the risk of shipping disputes
  • Protect themselves against fraudulent claims
  • Increase trust when purchasing expensive items

Looking Ahead

Palmstreet will continue monitoring high-value shipments and refining policies to ensure the platform remains a safe and trusted marketplace for collectors and sellers alike.

As new categories grow and higher-value inventory appears on the platform, we will continue improving our policies to support both seller protection and buyer confidence.
