🌱 The Ficus Villosa plant, also known as the "Shaggy-Leaf Fig" is a rare, tropical climbing vine native to Southeast Asia. Unlike many other fig species, this plant is known for its distinctively fuzzy, heart-shaped leaves and slow growth. High humidity is critical for this plant to thrive making it a popular choice for terrariums, vivariums, humid indoor gardens/green house

The leaves are covered in fine, shimmery hairs that give them a velvety texture. Young leaves appear reddish or bronze before maturing to a deep green. It is a slow-growing vine that will climb and creep up surfaces like walls, trees, or terrarium backgrounds. When it grows on a surface, its leaves lay flat and close together, a habit known as "shingling".

The stems are woody and release a white latex when cut ✂️ Pruning: cutting back stems and pinching off growth tips stimulates new shoots to emerge further down the stem, leading to a denser, fuller appearance
