Beautiful, mature specimen. This auction is for the EXACT plant pictured (Sharpie marker for scale). Fairly recent import ships with very easy re-rooting instructions. Sansevieria (now taxonomically Dracaena) ‘Blue Clone White’ is a variegated selection of the ‘Blue Clone’ form, which is often associated with the S. ehrenbergii or S. robusta complex.

History & Origin

The "Blue Clone" group originated from wild populations in East Africa (primarily Kenya and Tanzania). These plants were selected for their thick, channeled, distichous leaves and a characteristic glaucous, blue-gray cast. ‘Blue Clone White’ emerged as a stable variegated mutation, featuring crisp white or cream longitudinal striping against the steely blue-green base. It is a favorite among collectors of "pachycaul" or thick-leaved Sansevierias due to its slow growth and architectural symmetry.

👉🏼Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate lower light, the white variegation requires higher light levels to remain vibrant. Avoid harsh, direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the white tissues.

👉🏼Water: Extremely drought-tolerant. Allow the substrate to dry 100% before watering. In winter, reduce watering to once every 4–6 weeks.

👉🏼Substrate: Use a very gritty, well-draining mix (e.g., 70% inorganic pumice/perlite to 30% organic matter).

👉🏼Temperature: Prefers 65°F to 85°F. Protect from frost and temperatures below 10°C.

👉🏼Maintenance: Slow-growing; rarely needs repotting. Propagate via offsets (pups) to maintain variegation.
