Begonia dracopelta stays low and creeping, but its leaves look armored, with heavy bullation and dark green to reddish tones that give the surface a dragon-scale effect. High humidity, filtered light, and mild to warm temperatures help the leaves keep their shape, while a moisture-retentive but airy substrate prevents both drought stress and rot. Because it naturally grows across damp forest surfaces, wide but shallow containers are better suited over deep pots. Old leaves should be removed to prevent too much moisture around the crown. Insulation is included with all purchases if indicated and will be determined based on your local day-time temps. Default shipping is UPS 3-day. Upgraded shipping is highly recommended. Heat and cold packs are available for purchase in the shop.
