Not to be confused with Epipremnum Pinnatum “Banyuwangi”, Gandrung Banyuwangi was also discovered in Banyuwangi (East Java Region) Indonesia.

Gandrung is a traditional dance of the region, and it “symbolizes the region’s agrarian spirit, gratitude for harvests, and communal joy. The name “Gandrung” derives from the Javanese word meaning “to be infatuated” or “enchanted,” reflecting the mesmerizing effect it has on audiences”.

This cultivar is further characterized by its serrated/sawtooth edges, and its marbled patterning (although that is nearly absent in its natural setting). Mature leaves are elongated, lance-shaped, fenestrated, and often show silvery spots or veining. Fenestration occurs significantly faster than Banyuwangi.

This specimen was grown from wetstick (Apr 17) and is rooted and established. It is actively growing. Mother plant in last picture, not for sale. Due to the rarity of the cultivar, a reserve has been set.
