Begonia Darthvaderiana 🦹🏽‍♀️🌱💕❤️‍🔥 commonly known as the "Darth Vader Begonia," is an incredibly rare, dramatic rhizomatous plant renowned for its striking, near-black foliage and contrasting neon margins. Discovered in 2013 on the island of Borneo, this plant has earned a legendary reputation among houseplant collectors due to its demanding care requirements and unmistakable "dark side" aesthetic. The leaves are large, asymmetrical, and velvety. They feature a deep purple-black coloration sharply outlined by a vibrant, lime-green or yellowish-silver border. Under low lighting conditions, the dark surfaces can exhibit an iridescent bluish sheen.

Humidity (Crucial): Requires 90% to 100% relative humidity. It will rarely survive in standard home humidity levels and almost always needs to be housed in an enclosed terrarium, glass dome, or dedicated grow cabinet.

This is not a beginner plant; it is native to lowland rainforests near streams and waterfalls where humidity is absolute and temperatures are stable. Prefers low to medium indirect light. Harsh or direct sunlight will completely scorch the leaves and bleach out its deep, near-black coloration.
